São Paulo, September 18, 2026 – The second edition of Shopee Trends brought together around 10,000 participants in São Paulo to discuss trends and strategies for the future of ecommerce. Shopee, accessed monthly by more than 90 million Brazilians, connected sellers, creators, and partners over two days of programming focused on developing Brazil's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
During the event, the marketplace announced the winners of the second edition of Woman of the Year Shopee, held in partnership with Rede Mulher Empreendedora (RME), which celebrates the talent and innovation of women who transform their businesses and impact their communities through the platform.
The initiative received applications from 500 women across Brazil, 84% of whom have no business partners. In addition, 88% of participants sell products made in Brazil or use Brazilian raw materials in production, and 60% run their businesses in inland regions or production hubs.
"With women making up 51% of Shopee's active sellers, the finalists show how entrepreneurship can be a turning point in their lives. This impact goes beyond their own stories, with businesses that have grown, created jobs, and transformed their surroundings. It is this diversity of paths, and the impact they generate, that we want to recognize with Woman of the Year," says Luciana Hachmann, Head of Institutional Relations at Shopee Brazil.
In We Serve, the top winner was Ednilva Mariane de Oliveira of Nika Baby, who turned the production of women's children's clothing in her community into a business that now employs more than 100 people and aims to reach R$30m in revenue this year. She also supports residents of the region through a free project for young people, teaching them how to manufacture and sell products on Shopee to generate income and showcase local talent.
In We Run, the first place went to Ane Caroline da Silva of Ane Silva Pratas, who found a way to grow sales at her jewelry brand 56-fold, reaching R$1m in monthly revenue, with 90% of that amount coming from live broadcasts. Today, the operation has 25 employees and processes between 500 and 800 orders a day.
"Recognizing women entrepreneurs also means recognizing the strength they bring to transforming the economy and society. We know that for many women, entrepreneurship still means overcoming barriers to access, income, and opportunity. That is why initiatives like Woman of the Year Shopee matter so much. They give visibility to journeys that inspire others and show the strength of women-led businesses. For me, it is a joy to take part as a judge, and for Rede Mulher Empreendedora, it is a privilege to partner on an initiative that puts these women and their businesses at the center, where they belong," says Ana Fontes, founder and CEO of Rede Mulher Empreendedora.
The 10 finalists were recognized with prizes that can reach R$17,000 in cash and Ads credits on Shopee to help grow their businesses, along with mentorship from Shopee.
