Taiwan, 31 December, 2025 - Shopee Taiwan today announced its 2025 charitable impact results, reporting a 50% year-on-year increase in total funds raised and a doubling of first-time donors compared to the previous year. The results reflect the growing role of digital platforms in enabling everyday acts of kindness and making giving more accessible to a broader community.
Over the past decade in Taiwan, Shopee has strengthened its role as a bridge between users and nonprofit organizations across diverse causes, including elderly care, support for disadvantaged children, animal welfare, and women’s empowerment. Through integrated donation features and charity sales, users can seamlessly participate in philanthropic efforts as part of their everyday shopping experience.
Since 2019, Shopee Taiwan has partnered with more than 200 nonprofit organizations nationwide, supporting initiatives spanning rural education, vulnerable children, and community assistance programs. In 2020, Shopee Taiwan introduced the “NT$100 Donation” feature, allowing users to contribute with a single click at checkout. Building on this momentum, the “Charity Children’s Amusement Park” initiative, launched in 2021, has created meaningful experiences for more than 3,000 children and their families over three consecutive years.
This year, Shopee Taiwan’s community engagement further expanded beyond the platform. Popular Shopee social media content creators volunteered at nonprofit organizations, documenting their experiences and amplifying awareness of causes such as long-term care, disability inclusion, and animal welfare. Through the collective efforts of the platform, nonprofit partners, and users, participation in charitable initiatives continued to grow. Compared to the previous year, total donation amounts increased by 60%, while charity sales rose by nearly 40%.
Looking ahead to 2026, Shopee will further enhance support for nonprofit organizations. In addition to continuing to waive transaction and pre-order service fees, Shopee will fully subsidize shipping costs for eligible charity sale orders that meet designated free-shipping thresholds. Nonprofit products will also be included in Shopee’s platform-wide “Free Shipping from NT$199” program, lowering the barrier for users to support charitable goods.
