Thailand, August 9, 2023 – Shopee has continued its partnership with Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), launching the “Shopee International Platform (SIP)” program to serve as a gateway for local entrepreneurs to effectively showcase their products in regional markets.

Shopee’s unwavering commitment to fostering growth opportunities for both small-scale sellers and established brands has led to strengthening of ties with the DITP. Through Shopee’s platform, this strategic collaboration aspires to provide Thai entrepreneurs and local vendors a streamlined channel to showcase their exceptional products to regional buyers,  seamlessly, all without incurring any additional fees.

Expressing his excitement over this collaboration, Mr. Nissana Thaveepanit, Director of the Office of Digital Commerce Market at the Department of International Trade Promotion, said that “the Department is thrilled to continue its ongoing partnership with Shopee, recognizing its pivotal role in driving the nation's economy forward. Close collaboration with the private sector is of utmost importance to boosting exports. Among the key catalysts for export growth is online cross-border trade, which is intricately linked with Shopee’s platform. This collaboration opens doors for both exporters and small-scale traders, enabling them to effortlessly tap into the global market."

This year marks the second installment of the partnership with DITP, a venture dedicated to promoting Thai products under the esteemed TOPTHAI initiative. In this year's edition, participating entrepreneurs can seamlessly export their products to Singapore through the Shopee International Platform (SIP). Building on the success of a similar program in Malaysia, Shopee will take the lead in supporting sellers in various aspects of store management. This comprehensive support will be provided for free and includes helping sellers establish international shops, overseeing product and inventory management, facilitating buyer communication and global shipping.
